SuperMum Pledge

We, the supermum’s of Singapore,
Pledge to be united mums,
Caring for our children and spouse,
Juggling work and sociality,
We will RULE the world.

Newcomer Alert!!!

Hi all Jolie here. Just joined this ‘gang’ of supermoms. I am 3*( Not telling womans age are BIG shush shush) I worked as a housing agent and i have a boy who is turning 7 this year and boy is he active. Its no surprise that you wonder how i manage, after its not easy being a working mum. BUT ( Hold it hold it now!!!) let me share with you. As a housing agent i get to arrange my time so it makes thing a little easier. I always try  to keep the evenings free to spend with him and do activities together as a family to create stronger and tighter family. Another thing i did was to taught him how to call when something goes wrong. ( I keep a list of emergency no. pasted somewhere he can see) I am not boasting but at his age he have already went for haircuts, piano lessons and librarys alone. He also know how to buy his own food at the kopitiam, i just give him the money and he comes back with his food. How do i do it you say. It the key is to train him from young to be independent not relying on us all the time. But do not rush such things. Take it one step at a time.

Well some call me a mom and others call me a primary caregiver

Tips on being a supermom!!

Hi all Denise here to post. C:

Today was quite hectic as i had three meetings i had to attend to and since my daughter is currently having her holidays, i had to keep her occupied. It’s days like these i ask myself if making the decision to work was the right one or if having a child was the right thing to do. Although it was hard for me to truly focus my time on my daugher, i am thankful that she understands my having to work. For all the moms out there, here are a few tips on being able to control work and family. (hope it’ll help C:)

#1 try to schedule meetings in one day so you would have time the other days to spend time woth your child.

#2 sign your child up for courses such as piano lessons or art lessons to keep them occupied especially during the holidays.

#3 if your child wants to go over to her friend’s house, let him/her. It’ll let you concentrate on your work and know that your child is in good hands.

#4 DO NOT start talking on the phone for work whilst doing an activity with your child.

#5 when playing with your child, have fun and do not worry about your work, that’s what working hours are for.

well that’s my two cents hope it helps C:

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH A FOR REAL CHILD OF A MOTHER!!!!
DANA: How is your relationship with your mum, and how do you feel about her?
SALLY: My mum isn’t very close to me.
JOY: (Aww. Too bad. Haha.)
DANA: Oh, well, what does she work as?
SALLY: Oh, er, um, she’s a, um, vice-principal.
DANA: Okay! So, does she spend a lot of time with you?
SALLY: No. Never. Too busy. Yeah. With, er, whatever it is she does. Yeah.
DANA: Well, JOY, do you want to say anything?
JOY: No.
DANA: Okay. Sally, how are your studies? You just became a Secondary 1 student. Is it stressing for you?

Hello! Denise and Nadiah here! We would like to talk to you about our lives!(it’s not as boring as it sounds…)

Denise:

I am a 34-year-old working mother with one child, a eight-year-old girl. I work as a marketing manager and I work from home most of the time, to spend time with my daughter. I am thankful to my boss for the flexible hours that he gives me. Although my daily schedule is very packed with work and parenting, I still enjoy time with my family. I salute those mothers out there who are even busier than me and have greater responsibilities, for they are the true supermums.

Nadiah:

I am a 34-year-old housewife with two children. A seven-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl. I spend my day taking care of the kids, doing chores and cooking. My hobby is making my husband happy when he comes back from work. Life has been very hectic for me but I’m sure I’l be able to manage it for the time being. People say that I am a supermum as i can juggle so many things at once but I know that all mothers out there are supermums no matter what they do or who they are.

TO ALL THE SUPERMUMS OUT THERE: JIAAAAYOOOOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Supermom Kaysha

I am 38 year-old mom, with 3 kids and a job at Prima Deli as an executive officer. One day in my life would be: Hectic.

I have to wake up at 5 in the morning, make breakfast for the kids. Then wake them up, which by the way is no easy feat. They’re always, “Muuuuum, five mooooore miiiinutes…” Then I have to prepare them for school and drive them to school.
Even when I’m finished with my work, I have to pick up my children from school, because they simply refuse to take public transport. My husband Glenn got hung over again from drinking too much. Plus, it’s really draining out our savings.
STRESS!

Give your stress wings and let it fly away.  ~Carin Hartness

NOT a Lulu yet.

If I were a MOM:

► have a limit of two children.
►get a easy job so I won’t have high blood pressure.
►get a husband who earns a lot of money so I can take more day offs.
►get a load of massages and pedicures/manicures
►make children like little soldiers so they won’t make too much noise
►catch Desperate Housewives to get advice on controlling my kids
►be the QUEEN of the house. (Husband = servant)

But really, do all our mothers do these things? Even when they love it so MUCH?
The answer is NO.
Not all, anyway.
Why don’t they do these things? I mean, it seriously releases a lot of stress…
Because they want to take care of us, they sacrifice so many things.

Love your mom today

HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY!!

Mama CHANG.

Hi, everyone. I’m here again. I wanna post about my MUMMY CHANG who rocks SOCKS! She really is a supermom, but she ain’t got any outside underwear or anything. She looks like our average mama.

I will be interviewing Mummy Chang in some time to come, and then post some pictures or something, or perhaps a video :]

Weeeeell, Mummy Chang juggles really well. She has a job with looooong hours (Vice-Principal) and comes home at about maybe 7-9pm. And she’s going to Melbourne this May for a study trip. She’s really busy.

But she can juggle her work, and her children, and her husband, who is Papa CHANG. Well, Mummy Chang rocks. She spends enough time with me, even though she sleeps real late. And she gets up real early (5.30am), just to send me to school! :D

Mummy rocks. I will post more about Mummy Chang in future. Yes.

BYE! :)
